No time to play the tourist? You'd rather have a couple of meetings set up with potential clients, partners, suppliers...? We can help you with that.
SATURDAY FEBRUARY 10th
I’m a Marketing and E-commerce expert with 13+ years experience. I started my career at Avis Rent A Car in Brussels, followed by two years at the head office in London. I then moved back to Belgium to work for Thomas Cook and SNCB as E-Marketing manager. In 2012 – after 7 years in the private sector – I co-founded Invisible Puppy, a new digital marketing agency. As Managing Partner and Senior Strategist I lead the daily operations and developed marketing solutions for startups, SME’s and large corporations in the retail, telecom, finance, travel, automotive and transportation industries.
After 5 exciting years at Invisible Puppy helping companies get the best out of their marketing efforts, I started a new chapter in the United States. Today I head up Fifteen24 Inc in New York City and help companies and entrepreneurs explore and develop their business potential in the United States by using smart and innovative marketing techniques.
During our workshop I will talk about marketing and e-commerce in the USA and how you reach and convert American consumers.
Wil talk and teach you about:Marketing
I started my career with Mainfreight immediately after graduating as master in management, a financial degree that complements with my analytical and practical background as an engineer. By joining the management traineeship at the global supply chain provider Mainfreight (former Wim Bosman), I was able to work on several assignments in business units in Belgium, the Netherlands and Romania.
To support the growth of Mainfreight in the US, I moved overseas early 2016 where I now lead the warehouse operations and new customer implementations. In the last 18 months, the branch has grown from 5 to 20 team members and the sales pipeline predicts the growth will continue at a similar pace.
Will talk and teach you about:Logistics & Supply Chain Management
I am the founder and principal of Eisenberg Law Firm, PLLC, the New York-based firm focused on immigration/visa services for startups and tech companies. My areas of expertise include various work visas and permanent residence options for entrepreneurs and employees of startups and companies entering the U.S. market, “extraordinary ability” immigration, labor certification/PERM, investment immigration, intracompany transfers and immigration compliance, as well as visas for artists and family-based immigration matters.
I am also an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York, where I’ve taught a course on Business Immigration as part of the Immigration Law Certificate program. I have presented Continuing Legal Education courses for other attorneys on immigration-related topics. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and previously served as a Co-Chair of the New Members Division Committee of AILA’s New York Chapter.
My workshop will be focused on immigration options for foreign entrepreneurs and executives of foreign companies who are seeking to penetrate the U.S. markets. We will start our workshop with the discussion of permissible uses of Visa Waiver Program (a.k.a. ESTA) and the B-1 Visitor for Business visa when launching a business in the United States, and then move on to the discussion of various types of work visas: E-1 (Treaty Trader), E-2 (Treaty Investor), L-1 (Intracompany Transferee), O-1 (Individual with Extraordinary Ability).
You’ll leave the seminar with good understanding of when, if ever, you need to apply for a work visa, and what the requirements are for each type of visa. We will focus on real-life practical concerns encountered by foreign entrepreneurs in their visa journeys, the factors you need to consider in devising your visa strategy, the advantages and pitfalls of each visa type, and the relevant recent developments in the U.S. immigration rules and practices.
Will talk and teach you about: Immigration & Visas for entrepreneurs
